The Public Service Commission is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 233 (1) of the Constitution. It consists of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and seven Commissioners appointed by the President with the approval of the National Assembly.

The Public Service Commission is a member of the Association of African Public Services Commissions (AAPSCOMS). The Association was established on 9th April 2008 in Kampala, Uganda.

Disclaimer i) Section 100 (4) of the Public Service Commission Act 2017 provides that a person who gives false or misleading information to the Commission is, on conviction, liable to a fine not exceeding Kshs. 200,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both such fine and imprisonment.

Prior to his appointment He was a Commissioner at the Public Service Commission where He chaired the Commission’s Standing Committee on Human Resource Planning, Recruitment and Selection and also a member of the Standing Committee on Public Affairs, Communication and Digital Transformation, and Organizational Design and Career Development.
