Solved: VS MPI App Cannot Find impi.dll - Intel Community
community.intel.com
Yes impi.dll is in that folder and also in the release counterpart which isn't suprpising as the code runs through mpiexec in the oneApi comannd line. The issue seems to be purely VS integration. I don't understand why but even the workaround you suggest of having a post build event to copy impi.dll to the target directory has not worked.
"Could not find impi.dll" when running a simple MPI either C or Fortran ...
community.intel.com
This problem arose when I updated to Visual Studio Community 2022 and Intel oneAPI 2024.0 on Windows 10. I could build a simple MPI C or Fortran program successfully. However, when I ran the program inside Visual Studio, it failed because could not find impi.dll. I can confirm that impi.dll is in the oneAPI install path. The program ran successfully in the Intel oneAPI command prompt.

Recent versions of Python don't search the current directory by default and need CDLL ('./MIRcatSDK') for example. Is the other computer using a different version of Python? Also, your DLL could be referencing another dependent DLL that isn't installed on the failing computer.

windows - Can't import dll module in Python - Stack Overflow
stackoverflow.com
The issue is that the file exists since it was found by util.find_library, but python doesn't think it is where it is, or maybe the output is just the default. What am I missing here? What could be failing to be unable to not just load the module, but find it? I'm sorry I don't have more output than this. P.S: I've tried reformatting the string in different ways, but the message doesn't change.
In the latest version of MSMPI there's no msmpi.dll

Did you run the installer and choose all the options? What you have there is just the SDK, which does NOT include the runtime components, including msmpi.dll.

Can not find impi.dll on Windows - Intel Community
community.intel.com
But when I try to start my program with mpiexec.exe, it can not find impi.dll. After some research I noticed that in prior versions impi.dll was located in the same folder as mpiexec (C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\mpi\2019.3.203\intel64\bin) and it works right out of the box, but in the current version it seems to be missing?
