The CAPS Referral Database is used by UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty to find referrals for students who need mental health services in the community. Currently, there are 3 screening requirements for interested providers:

Trusted faculty and staff who believe a student would benefit from counseling can make a referral to CAPS. This is typically the case when a student’s problems go beyond your expertise or their behavior raises concerns.

The Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line (BHHL) will connect you directly to clinical help when and where you need it. Even if you’re not sure what kind of help or treatment you may need, they can help guide you.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a wide range of free mental health services to currently registered undergraduate and graduate students. CAPS Services include: If you’re experiencing an emergency, dial 911 or UCF Police Department at 407-823-5555. Faculty and staff can learn more about making a referral here.
