The CDM Executive Board (the Board), at its fifty-sixth meeting considered the possible introduction of the concepts of materiality and level of assurance. The Board agreed to the need for consultation with relevant stakeholders on this issue and to launch a call for inputs on this matter.

A designated operational entity (DOE) is an independent auditor accredited by the CDM Executive Board (CDM EB) to validate project proposals or verify whether implemented projects have achieved planned greenhouse gas emission reductions.

The CDM EB is fully accountable to the CMP. The CDM EB will be the ultimate point of contact for CDM Project Participants for the registration of projects and the issuance of CER s. Access meeting agendas, annotations, etc., by clicking on the meeting numbers highlighted in blue.

This is considered an initial notification of the intention to seek CDM status in order to demonstrate that the benefits of the CDM were a decisive factor for taking up the project activity. The CDM Registry will be closed from 25 December 2025 to 1 January 2026. Voluntary cancellation and forwarding requests received by 18 December 2025 will be processed in 2025.
