For instance: ProtonVPN is not very easy to use with WireGuard on Linux, but Windows is apparently well supported. I only use that as an example, and you can get round it. It also depends on what sites you habitually want to connect to, for instance DAZN in the UK refuses all ProtonVPN connections - I don't know if they refuse Mullvad etc...

ProtonVPN seems to have added CAD pricing (used to be USD/CHF/EUR only), and the pricing is favorable for Canadians. They might be using a wrong rate.

I'm using protonVPN free subscription and it seems to good to be true. The speed is decent and there's major servers in the US and Europe. There doesn't appear to be a data limit, no ads, and its not a trial, its free unlimited. My experience, after over 3 years of using is, that it’s the best VPN I have ever used so far. I used ProtonVPN on Windows (active), Linux, Android and iOS (active). I also really like Secure Core, a function where your traffic is redirected over two servers, which makes you even more hidden. The negative side here is, that the speed is slower.

That being said - ProtonVPN is open source, independently audited and run by a company with a track record within the industry. They might also be one of very few VPN companies who’s team has full names and faces out there.

I use the tablet to sign in to protonvpn.com/tv and it's fine, but there is no place to enter the code shown on the TV. I have 4 minutes to find it and it expires every time bc I can't figure this out.

The question is two-fold. First, I want to hear why people feel it is important that they use a VPN for their use case. Second, why do people view ProtonVPN as their best option? Thanks!
