Right Honourable Suleman is the current President of the CPA (Africa Region) and a member of the Standing Committee of the CSPOC.

The CPA Africa Region is one of the nine regions of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and it comprises 63 national and subnational legislatures. The Region convenes yearly for its Annual General Meeting and Conference to deliberate on matters affecting it.

The SoCATT brought together parliamentary secretaries and clerks from the various jurisdictions. Following the resignation of the previous chairperson, a new chairperson was appointed. At the conclusion of the conference, the AGM confirmed Malawi as the nominated host branch for the 55th CPA Africa Region Conference in 2026.

The CPA Africa Regional Conference is set to take place in the vibrant city of Lilongwe, Malawi, from August 9 to August 15, 2026.
