The hours we estimate originally and use to create our plan/schedule can (and often do) change mid projects. This is either a result of us being ahead or behind on a task or the customers schedule changing which could cause our schedule to change.

As another user already stated, you need to change the working schedule on the Standard calendar to reflect the 10-hour working day. The other step you are missing, however, is that you need to change the date and time of the Start date for the project to reflect the 6:00 AM start time.

It sounds like you are trying to change the scheduling calendar for your project. If that is the case, you will need to do the following two steps: Click Project > Project Information. Click the Calendar pick list and select the scheduling calendar for the project, then click the OK button.

You will need to create a new enterprise calendar named something like 6-Day Work Week, leave Monday through Friday as working days, and then set Saturday as a work day as well.
