Starship AI valves are the most valuable items in the game, so they are the best way to store units as items. Another way to get them (legit) is to buy and scrap T3 A or S class haulers when you spot them in space stations.

Platinum has been part of this game for a long time. Priced at 505 units each, it is one of the most expensive materials to obtain as of today.

Activated Indium is the most expensive element at over 900 units each. The most valuable items you can find are rare artifacts or bones that can be worth somewhere between 1-2 million units.

If you don't want to waste time digging up "junk", the item in the salvage container is proportionate to the number of nodes protecting the center -- 2 nodes is a blue item, 3 nodes is a purple item, and 4 nodes is the yellow really rare stuff.

They’ve been able to build 215 Stasis Devices, currently the most expensive item in the game. Each one is worth 18 million credits. Stacked five deep on their starship, that’s a stockpile worth more than 3.8 billion credits.

The Stasis Device and the Fusion Ignitor are the most expensive craftable things to sell. If you have an extreme surplus in basic and refined materials, consider crafting those.

The best commodity to use for crashing a market is by far Cobalt. At ~200 units per item it is valuable enough, and every Space station sells it. This is important, because you can only buy back the commodity that a current terminal sells.

The most expensive item in No Man’s Sky is the Salvaged Technology Data (ST-DS). Each ST-DS costs a staggering 16,161,600 units, which is a significant amount of in-game currency.

Crafting products are the most lucrative. Fusion Ignitors and Stasis Devices sell for 15MU per piece. I always put a small farm for 6 Fusion Ignitors on my freighter. Together with debriefing the 5 Expeditons per day that is 100MU+ per login. I have no need for another Unit source.
