What’s Garens overall best build? I’ve been trying the Conq/Sorc and having some decent success. I’m still new and learning builds so I’ve been using u.gg and LoListics. I enjoy PR/ (green secondary) for the speed late game but it’s less dmg early game.

Vayne starts ignoring armor in the mid-late game, you invested far too much into armor and that’s why you lost. Next time just get either a plated steel cape or a warden mail then build standard damage Garen.

How are you supposed to play Garen VS Jax? I picked up Garen recently and this is matchup is a total headscratcher for me. I think I just need other perspectives on how you're supposed to play the lane.

Sure, you can build armor and what not but on my Garen I build LD to get through that armor on top of my E which also shreds armor. So now, you have barely any armor, I have conq stacked, and you are at half or just over half health. You now have to decide to ult or runaway, and again depending on wave state this could doom you even more.

The idea is to reroll 3 star headliner Garen with his superfan item on 6, alongside a 3 star Seraphine for damage, and eventually hit 8 with a board like this. It's essentially playing Seraphine reroll except you're swapping headliner to a Garen and playing for 4 Sentinel and 5 KDA.

Against mundo, build executioners asap! That way you don't have to rely on ignite to cancel out healing although I'm pretty sure they made mundo heal through grievous with his R not too long ago? Either way he gets passive healing still so it's still worth the buy.

At max build though, as Garen, it feels unwinnable with standard build (Greaves, Stride, Hull, DMP, FoN, Steraks). Yone doesn’t have the issue of having dead items as he can build full dmg regardless of who he lanes against and him building shieldbow + BoRK / Bloodthirster means I cant even burst him and he auto wins prolonged fight.

Garen stays relevant all game, and most people dont cs well. Focus on trying to kill 10 minions per minute even if you arent able to kill your opponent and you should outscale most people until like emerald.

Once mid-late game comes you should be fine, though lillia really fucks Garen unless you can oneshot her somehow, since she has really teamfighting and can contest your splitpush. If you play to scale i recommend running TP since you will have no kill pressure. Hope this helps, though the best solution is to just dodge.

I find that most yoricks are realyl concerned with last hitting with Q early on to build up their ghoul reserves. when they do this, hit them with the auto+Q. Lvl 1 you should completely clap his cheeks unless you're just sitting there facetanking his Qs. Garen's big advantage over yorick is high burst and mobility.
