Hi everyone! I've recently come across the idea of using ChatGPT for language learning and I'm quite intrigued by it. The concept of practicing a new language with an AI, especially one as advanced as ChatGPT, seems like a novel approach. I'm curious to know if anyone here has tried using ChatGPT for this purpose. What language were you learning and how effective did you find ChatGPT in helping you improve? Did you use it for practicing conversation, grammar, vocabulary, or something else ...

I have a few conversations with ChatGPT that have lasted several months. I can get pretty engrossed, and there is a lot of history built up in these conversations. The problem is, the page starts to get really slow and laggy when a conversation reaches that scale. I have all this time and effort invested into it, but it takes like 20 seconds to load the page and 20 seconds to submit a prompt. Even if I just power through it, it keeps getting slower and slower.
