The Database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) has been used for over a decade to safely store and provide access to anonymized patient-level data related to research studies.

NCBI GEO hosts open-access gene expression data while dbGaP handles the controlled-access counterpart. EGA is the European equivalent for controlled-access genomics.

A dbGaP Collection provides streamlined access to data across dbGaP studies or portions of dbGaP studies that share the same consent group, disease, or funding project.

The dbGaP Authorized Access requests for this data should be made for the parent study phs000640.v10.p1 and not phs000643.v10.p1. Approved authorized users for phs000640.v10.p1 will be able to download data from the top-level study and all substudies.
