From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Geographic Management, and then select Tax Category. Enter search criteria and click Search. Select the Tax Category code, click the vertical ellipsis and select Edit. Update configuration. Click Save.

The Tax Types feature enables you to define categories to identify specific guests or reservations and reference these tax types in tax generates configuration. In doing so you can setup varying tax calculations or tax exemption based on tax type.

The Tax Types by Trx Codes (cf_taxtypesbytrxcodes) report provides a list of all the configured tax types and the transaction codes that have been configured as taxes/generates using this tax type.

When you select a Tax transaction type, a Tax category entry field displays (1-20) to define up to 20 tax bucket values for the Tax type transaction code. Use these categories/buckets to further group, summarize, various tax transactions into one total on the footer of the folio.

By default you can view all active tax categories. Expand a category to view the linked taxes and details. The blue badge next to the tax category indicates the number of taxes linked to the category.

Tax types are user-definable, and the number of types allowed is unlimited. You may set up tax types so that specific taxes may be assigned to specific prices, or global taxes to all prices.
