The Old Hungarian script, or Hungarian runes (Hungarian: Székely-magyar rovás, 'székely-magyar runiform', or rovásírás), is an alphabetic writing system used for writing the Hungarian language.

This letter was first used in 1770 by György Kalmár, but has never officially been part of the Hungarian alphabet, as the standard Hungarian language does not distinguish between these two sounds.
