This is my first time filing my taxes in Belgium (Brussels) and I'm trying to do it through myMINFIN using my foreigner residence card and the elD reader. I downloaded the necessary software and the test was successful (i.e., it showed my name).

Financial documents on myminfin, medical documents on myhealthviewer/ehealth, social security docs on mysocialsecurity,.... What you are asking for is to have them all dumped into your ebox. Isn't it more userfriendly to at least host your documents into the relevant platform and send you an e-mail to notify that there's a new message?

I heard “myminfin” is supposed to be easier but my id is blocked and still waiting on the appointment (gotta love brussel). Do I keep trying for the paper version or do I wait another week to do it via myminfin ?

You can send more than one reply through MyMinfin, so you can still send more documents if you like. I don't know which ambtenaar is handling your case. As stated, i work KMO / corporate and even there I know that we in Antwerp are pretty flexible on english answers. Don't evne know how they deal with it at other centers.

Also, I noticed that my rental contract doesn't appear in my MyMinFin, I don't know if that has to do with the fact that when I rented the apartment I didn't have my Belgian ID yet and I used my passport, but after I got my Belgian ID I sent the for real estate a copy.

Now, I received a CRS letter from MyMinFin showing my account details for 2022. After some research, I realized I should have declared my account. For this year tax I will declare the account and I will also declare to national bank. I am quite stressed, and my main concerns are: Could I face penalties for not declaring it?
