Highly competitive, intensely challenging, risky and entertaining, inshore circuit powerboat racing is the ultimate adrenalin rush and regarded as one of the most spectacular and exciting sports in the world.

Hence, it can rightly claim to have introduced offshore powerboat racing to the rest of the world outside the United States, where the modern sport was launched with the first Miami-Nassau Race in 1956. The race returns on 29 – 30 August 2026 racing under Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) rules. Boats arrive from 13.00 on the 28th August.

Twenty powerboats from 10 of the world’s top teams competed in the championship. Jonas Andersson of the Swedish team claimed the silver medal, finishing in second place, while Stromoy Racing’s Bartek Marszalek took the bronze in third.

The event marks Jeddah’s official entry onto the map of the championship’s key rounds. The official announcement followed the Saudi delegation receiving the championship flag during a special ceremony in Shanghai, China, attended by Founder and President of F1H2O Racing, Nicolo di San Germano.
