But, I turned on lively I was using the wallpaper, right. No crap obviously but then the next day I woke up turned on my computer. I made sure it was charged, made sure I could log in. I could do all those things, then my computer suddenly turned off. The same thing happened in a loop, over and over again, I am assuming it was lively.

Most people use Steam's Wallpaper Engine to use a video as their desktop background. However, for those who want a free alternative there is a program called Lively Wallpaper created by rocksdanister.

You can configure lively to set a picture background of live wallpaper in settings → system so that you can see that while waiting.

Lively can convert any wallpapers to video wallpaper format (fixed resource usage.) Rightclick item -> Preview -> Click on Start.
