I don't quite see how the SetWindowText () would help. I'm not passing a string to the title of the dialog but instead to the RichText box within the dialog panel. The worker thread send the WM_ONFLAG1 or WM_ONFLAG2 on a message pump, and the dialog application --- or the MAIN thread as it were --- catches the message and calls the approprate function.
