I am looking for a way to have my design tables in the individual part files automatically update when I update the design table in my assembly file. Either that or if there is someway to link the assembly's design table to the individual parts' design tables.

All the CTRL-Q forced rebuilds in the world won't make it update if all the parent files are not OPEN and IN MEMORY. Maybe others can comment on a better practice in cases like this.

A coworker designed some components top-down, but we can't figure out what this feature manager icon means. It doesn't show in the 2017 help file: Component Icons in the FeatureManager Design Tree. Do you know what it means and how to work with it?

I want the macro to find every part that has a design table in the current assembly, update the design table and close the part. The current macro does not seem to be completely closing the part since the GDI count keeps rising while the macro is running. We are now actively pushing an update out via our Group Policy to delete this folder's contents for our remaining 100ish users. Note, when deleting the folder contents, first make sure there is not a running session of SolidWorks. It keeps the .data file open and is write-protected when running.
