Inbox shows 1 unread message For weeks I seem to a phantom unread message in my personal gmail inbox. I cant seem to locate it and used the search email box: unread and nothing shows up. Anyone seen this before?

5 This worked for me. Go to the Settings icon - choose settings - click on Inbox and near the top is a box called Inbox type - you can select 'Unread first' from that menu - scroll down to save your changes and the missing emails should appear.

2 Up until two days ago, my "Inbox" in Gmail has only shown unread emails at the top, with the read ones being shown somewhere near the bottom. For some reason, this has changed. While my "Inbox" tab still shows "32" next to it, on the right hand side I can now see all emails, including unread ones.

When I search for something, I only want to see things from my primary inbox. However, searching for something brings up results from all the inboxes.
