If you login using Telegram web, there's a setting called something along the lines of "filter explicit content" or something like that. If you change that and kill and restart the app it should apply to all platforms, even iOS.

Is there any way to scroll to the top/start of messages of a Telegram group via the Windows desktop app? And/or a way to change the display order of messages descending vs. ascending? I'm guessing not.

I mostly use Telegram web, and used to have an option to receive an SMS code. Note that I only use it on pc's, can not use the phone version. Recently, I only receive the message " We've sent the code to the Telegram app on your other device." - with no option for an SMS verification.

Basically this, I haven't been able to access my telegram account in desktop because I lost the other device in where I had my account, however, I still keep the phone number and can receive SMS to confirm. However, telegram doesn't seem to have the option to send to SMS and sends the confirmation code through telegram to a non-existant device.

When I enter "web.telegram.org" into my browsers (Chromium) address bar, it always directs to Telegram k or z, whichever I used last. But I never directs to the classic one. I've deleted cookies and website data, but it still directs to one of the new versions, so I think it's saved on the server.

You could use telegram web only. But it's by far the worst way of using telegram. If on computer you can use telegram desktop as well.

How can I view Telegram channels on the web? Whenever I click on "Preview channel" it starts to load the channel then goes back to the page I was on with the "Preview channel" link.

Telegram not downloading media files, any solution to this? Already tried clearing cache, made sure there is enough memory, and updated to the latest version. Still no luck. Also, if you look into the app store most of the sentiment there are people not being able to load media files. Does anyone have a solution for this?

How to register for Telegram without a smartphone? As far as I can tell, Telegram Desktop won't let you log in unless you have already registered. But it won't let you register without a "phone or tablet", and it doesn't say anything about how to use a landline to register.
