To apply for any grant programmes you must not have any overdue monitoring with Heart of England Community Foundation. Founded in 1995, the Heart of England Community Foundation is the largest independent grant-giving charity across the West Midlands and Warwickshire. The Foundation has awarded over £49 million through approximately 14,000 grants to support more than 8,000 projects and community organisations.

We are the Community Foundation for the West Midlands and Warwickshire. As the leading, independent grant making foundation in the region we have proudly awarded over £40 million to over 8,000 great causes since 1995.

The Building Better Lives capital grants programme was launched in 2018 following an anonymous donation. The donors had a vision of offering three charities, who provide housing solutions to vulnerable people, an opportunity to receive up to £1m to renovate, restore or build additional housing.

I discovered it would be possible to establish my own Foundation under its auspices. This would result in lower set up and running costs, and no administrative burden compared with doing it myself.

This next phase continues the vision of the original Building Better Lives Capital Grants Programme, first launched in 2018 following an anonymous donation that helped create safe, rehabilitative housing for vulnerable people.
