The Environmental Protection Bylaw (no. 2426, 2025) prohibits the planting or growing of invasive species in Whistler; it also prohibits anyone from causing the spread of invasive species through the movement of soil or other materials.

We brought in our Tree Protection Bylaw in June 2025 to increase protection for Whistler’s trees and regulate tree cutting. This bylaw applies to all trees in Whistler with a diameter of 15 cm or more, measured 140 cm from the ground.
