Ninite hosts their own download files for all the programs they offer. They also remove tool bars and shit like that. It's unlikely that they would distribute the version with viruses. Reply reply shrillingchicken •

I remember using something called NiNite. It wasn't software itself, as such, but in one go could download and install a number of free utiliy softwares.

By making ninite.com remove the Flash Player from their very handy website makes the life of 10000000000 IT professionals worldwide miserable. I don't think Adobe is the kind of company who wants to make people miserable, is it?

When I try to print files from Adobe Acrobat, it cuts off the bottom of my sewing pattern pdf's.  I have a new printer, so I think it is something in the way Adobe is reading the printer settings. When I look at the page set up in Adobe, there is a large bottom margin, which is why things...

Of course, Ninite is nice because it seems like it is low maintenance to keep it running since they have bots. I'm guessing most of their revenue is from donations and pro subscribers and that most of their expenses, if not all of them, are servers and the very few employees that they probably have on board.

I wish there was a way I can just 1 click all the above, like ninite.com style. Imaging / Cloaning is not an option for several reasons I need not discuss here. Is there a way to do this that is simple? I saw some advanced installers where I have to program scripts. I don't know how to do that stuff.

I hope you used Ninite Pro Terms The free version of Ninite is only licensed for home use and as a trial for Ninite Pro. If you get paid for running Ninite (like in an IT department, PC shop, managed service provider, non-volunteer helpdesk, etc.) you must upgrade to Ninite Pro. running improperly licensed software in a business is a huge no-no

Sourceforge started losing traffic though and their pulled their adware thingy. So, in the end you can't really trust it but, currently, the chances of Ninite betraying you is the same as any of the proprietary software you can download from Ninite.
