Was it a big mistake to buy an airline ticket from Skyscanner
community.ricksteves.com
Hi Everyone, I wasn't even thinking and bought a one-way ticket from Skyscanner instead of going directly to the British Airways website to book directly with them for a flight from Rome to London. Is this a big mistake? I remember people posting on the forum at one point that you should never ...

Skyscanner is basically just for searching all options so you can see what is available. Then you will book flights directly with an airline of your choice. Don’t book with third party agencies such as Expedia, CheapoAir, etc. no matter how good prices look there. If you have any problems with your flights, booking direct with the airline is a better way to solve them should they arise. If ...
Google Flights, Kayak, or ? or ? Which is "better" - Rick Steves

The software that Google flights uses is ITA Matrix. It was a private company but is now owned by Google. The software is used by numerous airlines including Ameican, Delta, United, Virgin Atlantic and your beloved Turkish Airlines. I use it. Kayak is owned by the parent company of Priceline. Skyscanner is Chinese owned. Google Flights makes most of its money by selling the software to ...

People love to use Skyscanner to check flights. Did you know that it's a Chinese owned online travel agency who will switch you to whoever's going to give them the biggest commission? Instead of using Skyscanner start using Google flights. And then book directly with the airline. If you do get charged but don't get the tickets dispute the charge with your credi card company.

I have recently used Skyscanner to find the fares, then booked direct with Air Dolomiti, Lufthansa and British Airways - for short hops for our December trip. For one of these tickets, Onetravel would have charged a fee for me to pay with a credit card, which Lufthansa didn't (on the same fare).
Multi-city vs two one way tickets - Rick Steves Travel Forum

What is the general advantage of booking multi-city instead of two one way tickets. I was on Skyscanner, used multi-city, and chose booking with the airline. It then recommended I book the two flights separately anyway. Is this an airline thing? Airline is TAP. EDIT: Thanks for the input,...
