Gifting is live on the Epic Games Store. Players can now purchase and send games directly to friends on their Epic friends list, making it easier to celebrate special occasions, share favorite titles, or just surprise a friend with a new game. When you purchase a gift using Epic's payment system, you'll earn Epic Rewards on your purchase.

You can directly launch games, use custom artwork, generally make your library nicer-looking. It also allows custom Steam input configurations on a per-game basis rather than just having one for the launcher and that's that.

I'm quite new to PC gaming and right now I have a bigger library in the Epic Store due to gifts and 10 € coupons. Coupons make Epic Store a cheaper option.

1. Go to your Epic Games directory with Windows Explorer. It's usually C:\Program Files\Epic Games, unless you originally installed to a different location. Mine was on drive D. 2. Find the game folder you want to reinstall (get working) and rename it. I just put an underscore in front of the original name. ex. _ShadowComplexRemastered 3.

Recently I used the epic games store to get free games and also control/alan wake 2 on sale. My experience was good with the store. I've recently been reading about how epic games store is losing money and also distrusted within the pc gaming community. I'm trying to get up to speed as to why epic games store is so disliked.

I have Epic Games solely to collect their free games, but I've never bought a single game from them. If I see a game that I like during launch, I rather buy it from Steam/Origin/Rockstar rather than Epic. I do use the Epic Games to grab the Unreal Engine to do some render work.
