7 - Open the File Explorer > This PC > C: Drive > Program Files > Riot Vanguard > Delete. 8 - Launch Valorant and try updating the game again and it should install Vanguard for you and tell you to restart your pc after installing Vanguard.

How to Manually start Vanguard after you closed it ? So i closed it via Tray after playing valorant. and want to play now again now it says vanguard is deactivated but i cant find a way to start it again ? do i really need to restart my entire PC just to restart vanguard ? got informed yes i need to and thats pretty stupid.

If the stats Riot posted is true, Vanguard is a much more successful anticheat than anything else out there. Catching cheaters in online games is an infinite cat and mouse situation, where devs figure out who cheats, and the cheaters figure out how to not be caught and the cycle continues on and on.

There's definitely something fucky going on with the Riot Games folder. I tried downloading Valorant recently but deciding against it when it wanted me to also install Vanguard along with it. Tried uninstalling Valorant but couldn't unless Vanguard was completely gone and uninstalled.

I'm "scared" of Vanguard because Riot's track record for competency at software development is a bad fucking joke. In a few weeks we will be introducing Vanguard, Riot’s proprietary anti-cheat software that will be required for all League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics games.

Type “riot” in “My Pc” search box and delete everything (shift + delete). On the first steps you uninstall the Vanguard anti-cheat software, and the games (LoL, Valorant 🤮, etc.) from the windows uninstaller (add/remove program or from control panel). The rest of Riot files must be cleaned by deleting them manually (😩😠).

I barely trust Riot to run their own game let alone have Full access to All my data and files. Has anyone looked into the company who oversees Vanguard?
