1. License grant
Subject to payment (where required), compliance with this EULA and the plan shown at purchase, CTR-L grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software for your own lawful personal or business purposes. The software is licensed, not sold.
2. License plans, devices and activation
The permitted term, number of devices and included features are determined by the purchased license plan. A time-limited license may be configured to begin on the first successful activation rather than the date the key was generated. Normal reinstallations or updates on the same recognized device do not by themselves require purchase of a new license. Significant device/operating-system changes may require reactivation.
3. License keys and account security
License keys, activation tokens and account credentials must be kept confidential. You may not sell, publish, share or distribute a license key except where an applicable plan expressly permits reassignment. We may suspend a key when automated or manual checks reasonably indicate theft, fraud, unauthorized sharing or use beyond the purchased device limit.
4. Permitted use
You may create, open, edit, save and export your own lawful work using features included in your plan. Content you create remains yours or the rightsholder’s; this EULA does not transfer ownership of your project content to CTR-L.
5. Restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not bypass licensing or security controls, alter the software to defeat feature restrictions, distribute modified CTR-L binaries as genuine CTR-L products, rent or resell a personal license, use the software to deliver malware or unauthorized surveillance, or remove proprietary notices. Interoperability/research rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
6. Updates and online services
CTR-L may provide bug fixes, security updates, feature updates and online components. Some functions such as account sign-in, license verification, downloads, cloud/synchronization features or support require internet access. An offline grace period may be available for licensed desktop software, but periodic verification can be required to confirm that a license remains valid.
7. Third-party components
The software may include open-source or third-party components. Those components may be governed by their own notices and licenses, which apply to them in addition to this EULA where required.
8. Term and termination
This EULA continues for the license term unless ended earlier. Your right to use paid features may end when a subscription or term expires, payment is reversed where legally permitted, or a license is validly terminated for a material breach. On termination you must stop using features for which you no longer hold a valid license; access to your own local project files is not intentionally taken away merely because a license ends.
9. Warranty and liability
The software is provided with the warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law. To the maximum extent otherwise permitted, CTR-L does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every device, driver or third-party file. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory law and does not limit liability that legally cannot be limited.
10. Governing terms and contact
Your purchase may also be subject to the Microsoft Store, payment provider or reseller terms used for that transaction. If mandatory consumer law in your country grants stronger rights, those rights prevail. Questions about licensing can be submitted through https://account.ctr-l.com/?section=support.
