1. Who is responsible for your data
The service operator and data controller is CTR-L. You can contact us through https://account.ctr-l.com/?section=support or by email at support@ctr-l.com. This policy applies to CTR-L websites, CTR-L Account, CTR-L Apps, desktop applications, Web Ctr-L Browser, extensions, licensing and support services.
2. Information we may collect
Account information such as name, email address, profile image, language, account preferences and authentication records.
Purchase and billing information such as product, order number, amount, currency, invoice details and payment status. Full payment-card numbers are handled by the selected payment provider and are not intended to be stored by CTR-L.
License and device information such as license identifier or protected license hash, product and plan, activation status, device identifier/fingerprint, operating system, app version, IP address and activation timestamps.
Support and security information such as tickets, messages, attachments you choose to send, sign-in records, abuse-prevention counters, error/security logs and related technical metadata.
3. Creative apps, local projects and files
CTR-L creative desktop applications are designed to process project and media files locally on your device unless you deliberately use an online, account, upload or sharing feature. We do not claim ownership of your project content. Local files are not uploaded merely because you open or edit them in a CTR-L desktop application.
4. Web Ctr-L Browser and synchronization
Web Ctr-L Browser may store browsing data such as history, favorites, settings and saved credentials locally on your device as part of normal browser functionality. If you enable account synchronization, the categories you choose may be transmitted to CTR-L synchronization services. Credential/password synchronization, where offered, is designed to protect credential data with encryption before transmission; CTR-L does not need your plaintext password to perform ordinary encrypted synchronization. You can disable synchronization and remove synchronized data through available account controls.
5. Why we use information and legal bases
We use information to provide accounts, purchases, downloads, licensing, device activation, updates, support and requested features; to secure the service, prevent fraud and license abuse; to maintain reliability and diagnose failures; to comply with tax, accounting, legal and regulatory duties; and, where permitted, to improve our products. Depending on your location, processing may be based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations or your consent.
6. Sharing and service providers
We may share only the information reasonably necessary with payment processors, hosting/infrastructure providers, email/authentication providers and professional service providers that help us operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order or to protect users, CTR-L or the public from fraud, abuse or security threats. We do not give a payment provider more product/account data than is reasonably needed for the transaction and fraud checks.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Account data is generally kept while the account remains active; purchase, invoice and transaction records may be retained longer where tax, accounting or legal rules require it; security and technical logs are retained for limited operational periods; and support records are retained as needed to resolve and document requests. Data may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the type of data, including access controls, encrypted transport, protected license/device records, rate limiting and security logging. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials, recovery information and license keys confidential and contact support if you suspect unauthorized use.
9. International processing and age requirements
CTR-L services and service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual/technical safeguards. CTR-L products are not directed to children who are below the age at which they may legally consent to online services in their location without a parent or guardian.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. You can manage many account, device and synchronization settings directly in CTR-L Account. For privacy requests, use https://account.ctr-l.com/?section=support or by email at support@ctr-l.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Cookies and local storage
CTR-L websites may use cookies or browser local storage that are necessary for sign-in, security, language, theme, cart/checkout state and preferences. Optional analytics or similar technologies, if introduced, must be used in accordance with applicable consent requirements. See the Cookie & Local Storage Policy for more detail.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when products, laws or processing practices change. The current version is published on this page with its update date. Material changes may also be communicated in the product, account area or by other appropriate means. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through https://account.ctr-l.com/?section=support or by email at support@ctr-l.com.
